THE MUMMIES OF KANSAS CITY

I love Kansas City. Missouri side (or East Berlin as I like to call it) is a wonderful place to visit. I have lots of friends in the community. Last year, while busily judging International Ms Leather in Omaha, Nebraska, I mischiviously mentioned that I'd never mc'd a leather contest and that I'd accept just such an excuse to visit Kansas City. Next thing I knew, I was mc'ing the Heart of America Leatherwoman and Leatherman Contest and I was slated to do tons and tons of bondage.

Friday night at the local leatherbar, I mummified five volunteers in a variety of ways and put Misty (of Private Quarters fame) into a red latex De Mask straitjacket. When I asked her how it felt to be in a straitjacket after 15 years without them, she laughed and said "they feel much hotter now!" I can attest that straitjackets look hotter now too! Saturday was an extremely busy day. Classes to teach in Sens Dep and Plaster Mummification plus rehearsals for the contest. The following are a few pictures of a really wonderful day.

This gentleman had been pursuing me the entire weekend begging to be my plaster mummy. He came to my earlier sensory deprivation class and begged yet again. When I finally discussed his tolerances, he admitted he'd never been plastercast before, but that he craved inescapable bondage---as long as his head was free. This moment is just as I'm completing some very complex ace bandage mummification and prior to the plaster strips.

My volunteer lay helpless for over 90 minutes. A gilfriend of mine watched his face and said it was lots of fun watching him drift off and become extremely blissful. The sharp-sighted will note an obvious ace bandage fastener at the waist. That's because we ran out of plaster before we could fully cover his torso. Next time I'll know that 4" plaster strips go much further than 3".

After the plaster dried, I had the class come over and run their hands over my mummy's rigid, inescapable body. Several amused themselves by knocking on his legs which made a delightful hollow sound, just like a plaster cast should.

This handsome young man came to my other class as well. There he modeled one of my leather single sleeves. This time I demonstrated face mummification on him with elastoplast over the guaze wrappings and ace bandages. Then I created a plaster cast single sleeve on his arms and kept him that way until class was through.

This young man was my favorite of the entire weekend! Friday night at the Wagon Wheel I mummified him with red vet wrap (thank you Lady Hillary for my Christmas present!) and then bound him to Christian (who I'd just body punched for awhile) for over an hour on the bar's staircase landing. I can attest to the fact that both boys got very hot and the bar patrons even hotter!

For this position I demonstrated how you can make a very quick mummy out of stretch bandages found in most medical supply shops. The ones I buy are called Hyginet and stretch to fit all body types and can be cut to whatever length you want so you can make armbinders and sleep sacks out of them very easily. After that, I wrapped him in some more vet wrap to make his bondage more inescapable. He was just so cute and responsive. Hopefully, I'll get to tie him up everytime I visit Kansas and maybe even this summer in Omaha as I will be back for IMsL of course!
